# Metabolic alkalosis
Most likely due to contraction alkalosis, with ddx of saline responsive metabolic alkalosis (UCl <10) including hypovolemia, GI losses, and diuretics. Ddx of saline resistant metabolic alkalosis (UCl>10) including hyperaldosteronism, Cushings, and severe hypokalemia.
- Consder UCl prior to fluid challenge
