    Current hgb *** with b/l ***. MCV ***. No evidence of frank bleed and VSS. Common etiologies of microcytic anemia include iron deficiency anemia, anemia of chronic disease, thalassemia, toxicity (lead), and nutritional deficiencies.
    - Trend CBC
    - Iron panel
    - Mentzer index (if MCV/RBC count <13, consider thalassemia panel)
