Although with benign abdominal exam, ddx for acute abdominal pain include inflammatory (gastritis, PUD, cholecystitis, appendicitis, peritonitis, diverticulitis), vascular (AAA, mesenteric ischemia), obstruction (bowel, ureter, bladder), luminal perforation, and obstetric. Image negative abdominal pain include DKA, IBS/functional pain, withdrawal, angioedema, lead toxicity, vaso-occlusive events and porphyria.
